Gynecology

Gynecology specialists at University Women's Care take a multidisciplinary and sensitive approach to evaluating and treating female health issues, especially the reproductive system.

Most women are seen by an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN), a physician specializing in general women's medical care, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the female reproductive system, and care of pregnant women.

General gynecologic care includes wellness exams for children, teens and women; family planning/contraception; and evaluation and treatment for disorders, including, but not limited to, abnormal pap smears, basic infertility, hormone imbalances, chronic pelvic pain, cervical dysplasia and vulvar and vaginal disorders.

University Women's Care, a part of University of Mississippi Health Care, also offers sophisticated diagnostic imaging procedures, minimally invasive surgical options and subspecialty care to meet the health needs of our female patients.
