Laboratory testing and tissue diagnosis is provided in a timely manner to ensure physicians have facts at hand to support their clinical findings.

The UMHC pathology department has two focus areas – anatomical pathology and clinical pathology. Anatomical pathology focuses on the physical appearance of disease, including microscopic, chemical and molecular examination of organs and tissue. Clinical pathology is the determination of disease through chemical analysis of bodily fluids, including blood and/or tissues.
